Mt Baker Cheeseboard
This cheeseboard was made as a wedding gift for some friends of ours who have a special love of Mt Baker in Washington state. I initially had plans to make something more complicated, but found some beautiful maple boards at my local wood specialist. I decided a cheeseboard would be perfect for showing them off.
I used a CNC mill for the engraving, then colored it with a black sharpie (A trick I learned doing another project). To finish the wood I sanded it up to 2000 grit paper to bring out the grain, then added a series of coats of polyurethane.
